Artist

My painting career started by drawing a few sketches of animals for friends and family in my art degree summer holidays. Each commission generated another and over time has now built up to a considerable portfolio.

My love of dogs and horses is reflected in my painting and I use predominantly pastels and oils to achieve the true likeness of my subject. My passion is to produce a painting that truly reflects the individual personality of the animal in a natural posture and background.

My maternal family comes from a history of artists, sculptures and musicians. I have painted and drawn for most of my life and completed a BA Hons Degree at Winchester School of Art.

My Sister and I were brought up in the countryside surrounded by shooting and stalking, dogs and horses. Apart from dogs, my other lifelong passion is horses. As a child I had a pony followed by a horse and did everything from pony club, competitions to hunting. I am now married to an even keener shooting family and pick up on a family shoot with one of my Mother in Law’s 8 dogs and my children in tow!

I currently live in Somerset with my husband Edward and our two children.
